Your Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Assurance to join our Assurance & Accounting team in Sarnia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  1. Efficiently preparing year-end engagements and tax returns for clients in various industries.
  2. Preparing working papers and financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards.
  3. Building positive working relationships with clients and effectively responding to their requests and suggestions.
  4. Participating in business development initiatives and identifying new business opportunities with existing clients.
  5. Effectively communicating with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities

As a Manager, Assurance, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading audit engagements and ensuring high-quality work is delivered to clients.
  • Developing and implementing audit strategies to meet client needs.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with audit engagements.
  • Staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry developments.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A CPA designation (an asset).
  • At least 3-4 years of audit experience in the public accounting industry.
  • Experience working with non-profit clients and a willingness to develop further knowledge in this area.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • A team-oriented approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
