We are seeking a proficient Estimator to generate detailed estimates for a diverse array of complex heavy civil infrastructure tenders. This role encompasses overseeing all phases of construction management from inception to completion at our head office.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Examine plans and specifications to ascertain project scope and requirements.
  2. Create comprehensive estimates for tender submissions across various sizes of heavy civil construction projects.
  3. Build and sustain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.
Core Duties:
  1. Evaluate project specifications and estimate needs, formulating a strategy for estimate development.
  2. Assess the scope of work, identify subcontractor packages, and secure subcontractor bids for the estimate.
  3. Compile a thorough estimate in Hard Dollar, incorporating all self-performed components: labor, equipment, materials, etc.
  4. Conduct risk analysis on estimates and present the project execution strategy and estimate details during a bid review meeting with management.
  5. Collaborate on major project pursuits (RFQs and RFPs) with partner organizations.
  6. Maintain and nurture client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication.
Qualifications:

A minimum of 7 years' experience in executing pre-qualifications, estimates, and contract negotiations for heavy civil construction projects.

At least 7 years of experience managing all facets of heavy civil construction from project initiation to closure.

Possession of P.Eng, EIT, a technical diploma, or extensive industry experience is essential.

Proven ability to manage customer development, address issues, and provide exceptional service.

Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Projects; experience with Hard Dollar is advantageous.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational abilities.

Demonstrated strong work ethic, capable of thriving in a confidential, fast-paced environment with stringent deadlines.

Valid Driver's License required.

The typical salary range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000 annually, with compensation varying based on relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and other criteria.
