Position Overview

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager plays a pivotal role in collaborating with project managers and the business development team to formulate forecasts and financial strategies, analyze operational outcomes to gain insights into company performance, and provide valuable perspectives on project and functional area performance at a corporate level.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the project management team to maintain ongoing 12-month revenue forecasts for resource allocation and contribute to corporate budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
  2. Prepare monthly summary reports for functional areas, including forecasted revenue, capacity, and utilization metrics.
  3. Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and forecast, summarizing findings for project management leadership.
  4. Work alongside the business development team to create and implement monthly reports tracking pipeline metrics, win/loss analysis, and high-probability revenue forecasts to provide insights into sales performance and early visibility into revenue trends.
  5. Generate ad hoc business reports as required.
  6. Collaborate with finance colleagues to support overarching departmental goals and objectives.
  7. Engage in projects aimed at developing new procedures and systems to enhance workflows, drive efficiencies, and standardize processes.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Commerce.
  2. Professional designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
  3. A minimum of six years of relevant experience.
  4. Proficient in financial software, corporate finance, budget tracking, financial analysis, and performance management.
  5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
  6. Detail-oriented with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality.
  7. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts in layman's terms.
  8. Flexible, organized, and capable of multitasking with strong problem-solving abilities.
  9. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, along with strong skills in Word and PowerPoint.
  10. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
