Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, manage benefits administration, and ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including trial balance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reports.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, fast-paced environment, overtime required, repetitive tasks, tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working on-site at our office location. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be expected to maintain accurate and detailed financial records.
