Cutting Edge Landscaping Ltd is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Dozer/Loader Operator. This role is essential for maintaining our soil stockpiles in an organized and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow directives from the on-site Foreman and Project Manager regarding daily operations and objectives.
  • Collaborate with project managers, transportation teams, and subcontractors to manage site schedules, deliveries, challenges, and inspections of completed tasks.
  • Adhere to safe operating protocols and ensure proper training on all equipment.
  • Operate company vehicles, both with and without trailers, demonstrating responsible driving practices.
  • Effectively manage a range of machinery, including: Skid Steers, Excavators, Dozers, Forklifts, Backhoes, Loaders, Sod Strippers, and various power and hand tools.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to guarantee optimal functionality.
  • Exhibit attention to detail and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
  • Promote and maintain our safety culture and adherence to safe work practices.
  • Complete necessary documentation for our safety program and actively participate in weekly safety meetings.
  • Engage in physically demanding work outdoors, regardless of weather conditions.
  • Perform a variety of tasks, including: Equipment and trailer maintenance, minor mechanical repairs (oil changes, filter replacements, tire repairs, fluid top-ups), interpreting and executing landscape plans according to specifications and timelines, understanding drainage plans, grading soils and clay, and securing loads properly.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
  • Experience operating similar heavy machinery (Dozer, Loader, Excavator, Backhoe).
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, rotate, and stand for extended periods.
  • Possession of a Class 5 Driver's License - Mandatory.
  • CSTS-2020 certification.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Heavy Equipment Tickets are considered an asset.
  • Steel-toed boots and hard hats are required.
