Position Overview: We are seeking a Recreation Program Supervisor to join our esteemed resort and golf operation. Our mission is to 'Create happiness by delivering exceptional experiences to our guests and team.' The Recreation Team is pivotal in crafting these memorable moments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage Recreation staff and their responsibilities.
  • Assist in scheduling, training, and communication with team members as required.
  • Support the Recreation Director in developing and executing engaging programs.
  • Encourage guest participation in recreational activities through effective recruitment and scheduling.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all resort activities, events, and pricing.
  • Foster a fun and inviting atmosphere while ensuring adherence to rules and regulations.
  • Understand and manage all operations at the Recreation/Adventure Centre desk, including guest reservations and liability waivers.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports and other necessary documentation.
  • Manage the collection and replenishment of pool and beach towels.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of recreation areas and equipment.
  • Assist with seasonal trail maintenance for hiking and skiing.
  • Conduct inspections and perform light maintenance on equipment.
  • Respond to safety concerns and ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Problem-solve effectively to accommodate unique guest requests.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; minimum age of 18.
  • Dynamic personality with a focus on engaging with families and corporate groups.
  • Previous experience in guest services is advantageous.
  • First Aid certification is a plus.
  • Experience in cash handling and transactions is required.
  • Proven track record in supervising and training staff.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy, collaboration, and active listening.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to adapt to varying outdoor conditions.
  • Capability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods.
  • Physical agility for cleaning and organizing tasks.
