About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at North Lake Enterprises LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Preparation: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Master Format Estimates: Prepare master format estimates (Class A) for construction projects, taking into account various factors such as labour costs, material costs, and overheads.
  • Expense and Overhead Estimation: Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads associated with construction projects.
  • Economic Feasibility Studies: Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed construction projects, including project cash flow and financing requirements.
  • Estimate Reporting: Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms for construction projects.
  • Quantity Take-Off Procedures: Utilize quantity take-off procedures to ensure accurate estimates for construction projects.
  • Tendering Procedures: Advise on tendering procedures for construction projects, including analyzing tenders and recommending awards.
  • Cost Monitoring: Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems to track and adjust contract expenditures for construction projects.
  • Supply and Contractor Directory: Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors for construction projects.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Blueprint and Specification Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications for construction projects.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction estimation or a related field.
  • Work Schedule: 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
