Job Title: Material Handler

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at Global Convention Services Ltd. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.

Work Environment

Our work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring you to work under pressure and handle heavy loads. You will be required to stand for extended periods, walk, and bend, crouch, or kneel. You must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a variety of locations, including warehouses and convention centers.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
  • Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products
  • Ship orders and weigh materials and goods
  • Provide customer service and pack and unpack goods
  • Sort, crate, and stack goods, and organize and maintain inventory
  • Plan and arrange for trade shows and exhibits, and operate forklifts
  • Load and unload goods, and manage event logistics
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel overnight
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative, hardworking, and quick learner with strong time management and dependability skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service
