Freight Operations Manager

CITY CAR AND TRUCK RENTAL is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Freight Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our freight management system.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
- Train workers in duties and policies, and conduct performance reviews to ensure high-quality performance.
- Coordinate, assign, and review work to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support operations.
- Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Maintain the operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure business continuity and customer service delivery.
- Perform same duties as workers supervised, and plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization.
- 3-4 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a logistics or transportation environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college or CEGEP education preferred.
