The Architecture and Software Platform division is tasked with developing the software framework that facilitates connectivity and sophisticated application functionalities in next-generation vehicles. The team is engaged in the design and construction of an advanced software platform vehicle architecture, organized around high-performance computing clusters and zonal aggregators. As a member of the Test Automation team, the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating testing tools and infrastructure that empower our Quality Assurance (QA) team to execute functional and integration tests for production software.
Responsibilities- Assessing product specifications and exploring viable technical solutions.
- Collaborating across functions to design and implement effective and economical software solutions across various domains.
- Developing, testing, and documenting software components.
- Validating and documenting software and testing tool designs.
- Performing bug fixes and ongoing maintenance.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline. (Candidates must provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from an institution outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report demonstrating Canadian equivalency is also required.)
- 3 years of experience in software development using Python.
- 1 year of experience in software development using C++.
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks.
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development using C++/Python.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Background in embedded testing and automation (Linux OS, device flashing, file transfers, logging, telemetry capture, automation triage, etc.).
- Experience in automotive testing, particularly with CAN/LIN protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages: Bash, BAT, and PowerShell.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and TestRail.
- Creative and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Methodical approach; adept at prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
