About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Embedded Test Automation Developer to join our team at Syntronic Canada. As a key member of our Architecture and Software Platform group, you will be responsible for developing test tools and test infrastructure to enable our Quality Assurance team to complete functional and integration tests for production software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze product requirements and evaluate potential technical solutions.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with teams to design and implement efficient and cost-effective software solutions that span multiple domains.
  • Design, development, and testing of software components.
  • Documenting and validating software and test tool designs.
  • Bug fixing and maintenance.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 years of software development in Python.
  • 1 year of software development in C++.
  • Familiarity with unit test frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of software development in C++/Python.
  • Experience with source code control systems such as Git.
  • Embedded test & automation experience, (Linux OS, flashing devices, file transfers, logging, capturing telemetry, automation triage, etc.)
  • Automotive test experience, with CAN/LIN.
  • Scripting: Bash, BAT, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and TestRail.
  • Creative and analytical thinker.
  • Methodical; capable of prioritizing work and working to tight deadlines.
  • An excellent communicator, both oral and written.
