Overview

The Cybersecurity Analyst plays a crucial role within GoSecure's Managed Security Services Division. This position entails delivering expert consulting in network protection, including Firewall technologies, Antispam solutions, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR). The analyst also provides specialized knowledge in security operations and technical assistance to a diverse clientele. In the context of managed security agreements, the Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for configuring security devices, troubleshooting network challenges, and integrating security solutions. They advocate for optimal security practices and actively engage clients to ensure alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination of incident response efforts across various disciplines and organizations.
  • Offer technical advisory services to clients regarding necessary security measures for current and future enterprise systems.
  • Deliver level 3 support for managed network security devices utilized by clients.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other departments to enhance GoSecure's network defense capabilities.
  • Assist fellow analysts in addressing client inquiries via phone or email in a professional and timely manner.
  • Contribute to the implementation and enhancement of security solution architectures.
  • Facilitate meetings to present security strategies and solutions to managed clients.
  • Engage in training sessions to educate team members on best practices and configurations for security devices.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as required.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a comparable position.
  • Certification with Fortinet (NSE7 or higher) or CheckPoint (CCSE or higher).
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience with FortiGate or CheckPoint firewalls.
  • Familiarity with Palo Alto or Cisco firewall technologies.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, TCP, UDP, IPv4, and IPv6. Proficient in Linux, Windows, and MacOS environments, including MS Office applications.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess an energetic and positive demeanor.
  • Bilingual proficiency (French/English) is considered an asset.
  • Relevant technical certifications are advantageous.
