Welding Production Coordinator

As a Welding Production Coordinator, your primary role will be to enhance production welding through effective training, testing, troubleshooting, and process validation. You will be pivotal in implementing optimal practices within the welding department, ensuring seamless collaboration with various teams including Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

● Provide comprehensive support for all welding troubleshooting activities.

● Develop, document, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for welding processes.

● Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering Group, Engineering, and Tool Room to ensure that welding tools meet specified performance criteria.

● Oversee new product designs, integrating best practices, and communicate relevant updates to the welding team.

● Maintain accurate records of repair times and document any changes related to Product Change Requests (PCR).

● Initiate deviations or Corrective Action requests as necessary.

● Keep detailed records and generate reports pertinent to your responsibilities.

● Occasional travel may be required for work-related purposes.



Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of post-secondary education in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or a recognized welding program.

A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

In-depth knowledge of shop floor processes and procedures.

Proficient computer skills, particularly in Excel and Word.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving capabilities.

Effective time management and organizational skills.

Familiarity with 5S and ISO processes is advantageous.

General understanding of shop floor safety regulations.

Ability to perform sustained physical tasks involving light to medium weight components.

Capacity to multitask effectively under pressure.

Competence in generating reports and developing work instructions.

Valid driver's license and passport for potential travel.

Some travel may be necessary.
