Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Barista to join our team at Second Cup St Vital Centre. This role is essential in providing exceptional service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience is not necessary as training will be provided.
Work Environment

The position is based in an urban coffee shop setting, offering a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set tables and deliver clean dishes and utensils to serving areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing kitchen items, including dishwasher mats and waste disposal units.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs efficiently.
  • Manage the storage of dishes and food items appropriately.
  • Prepare and serve simple food items and beverages to customers.
  • Take and process customer orders accurately.
  • Utilize various kitchen appliances for food preparation and cleaning.
  • Keep the kitchen and work surfaces organized and sanitized.
  • Handle and store cleaning supplies safely.
  • Receive and organize supplies in designated storage areas.
Transportation

Public transportation options are readily available for commuting.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Capability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
