KPMG Canada is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Restructuring & Turnaround team in Montreal. As a Manager / Senior Manager, you will play a key role in helping companies navigate financial challenges and uncertainty.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including the development of complex financial models, to identify areas for improvement and optimize business performance.
- Participate in independent business reviews and assist in restructuring and refinancing of underperforming companies.
- Take possession and securing of assets, including assisting in receivership activities.
- Prepare and distribute reports to stakeholders, including clients, other advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Communicate effectively with a variety of parties, including clients, other advisors, and stakeholders.
- Assist with proactive business development initiatives to identify new opportunities and grow the business.
- Provide analytical and market research information to support business decisions.
- Educate clients on legislative and compliance issues related to financial restructuring and turnaround.
- Use negotiation skills to identify common ground and potential solutions beneficial to all parties.
- Manage the delivery of various projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of quality work that meets client requirements and expectations.
- Influence clients, teams, and individuals positively, leading by example and establishing confident relationships as a representative of KPMG Deal Advisory.
- Develop, train, and coach junior team members through challenging and meaningful opportunities.
- Hold a professional designation, such as CPA.
- Hold a CIRP certification and Insolvency Trustee license, if applicable.
- 2-3 years of experience in restructuring and insolvency, with a focus on financial analysis and modeling.
- 1-2 years of experience at a Manager level or equivalent in a consulting and/or corporate environment, including financial diligence, M&A analysis, and financial statement interpretation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
- Ability to achieve government security clearance.
