Job Summary

The City of Ottawa's Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Public Skating Attendant to join our team. As a Public Skating Attendant, you will be responsible for coordinating, supervising, and evaluating the direct involvement of site-specific Public Skating Programs. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise Public Skating Programs at various locations
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the Department's facilities and programs
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to participant inquiries
  • Manage cash handling and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for participants
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 10
  • Leadership training is an asset
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative/cash handling role and working with the public
  • Previous experience in leading recreation activities and providing direction to participants
