Job Description

Job Title: Superintendent 2

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our team at Jardeg-Construction. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Participate in preconstruction services, including site logistics, project scheduling, design and constructability review, and budget development.
  • Site Management: Oversee site staffing, quality control, sub-trade coordination, project scheduling, field cost control, and safety.
  • Construction Execution: Determine the method of construction, materials quantities, equipment, work schedule, and documentation of hours worked.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate assigned work with different crafts, company departments, and subcontractors.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain relationships with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
  • Safety and Compliance: Monitor compliance with company and site safety programs and documents, and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
  • Personnel Management: Take an active role in hiring, training, and monitoring field personnel.
  • Project Meetings: Assist with preparation and facilitation of project meetings.
  • Claim Resolution: Assist project managers with resolution of outstanding claim items and with warranty.
  • Project Budgeting: Work in conjunction with the project manager to manage the project budget specifically as pertains to production on self-performed work.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Varying years of experience will be considered, with a minimum of 4-8 years in a supervisor capacity role.
  • Skills: Proficiency in structural concrete, steel, and timber frame construction, proven ability to manage project values $15M - 50M, and proven ability to lead mid-sized teams.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of construction engineering and design, standard construction software, and management processes.
