Lead Data Scientist in Supply Chain Optimization

We are seeking a Principal Data Scientist who possesses a robust background in data analytics, practical experience in optimizing replenishment strategies, and strong programming skills to enhance our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Refactor optimization algorithms developed in Python utilizing Object-Oriented Programming principles.
- Engage with the latest data science applications to address business challenges in the supply chain and optimization domains of retail and/or CPG.
- Employ advanced statistical methodologies and data science algorithms to analyze extensive datasets, deriving actionable insights related to replenishment optimization and inventory management.
- Design and implement predictive models and optimization algorithms aimed at enhancing inventory management, minimizing stockouts, and optimizing resource allocation throughout the supply chain.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Devise and conduct experiments to assess the effectiveness of various replenishment strategies and allocation policies.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) associated with replenishment and supply chain allocation, providing recommendations for ongoing enhancement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in data science, replenishment optimization, and supply chain management, leveraging this knowledge to foster innovation within the organization.
- Collaborate, mentor, and learn alongside a growing team of seasoned Data Scientists.
Minimum Requirements:
- Over 10 years of proven experience as a Data Scientist, focusing on supply chain optimization and inventory management.
- Master's or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Experience with mathematical programming solvers such as Gurobi, Xpress MP, CPLEX, or Google OR Tools.
- Strong understanding of statistical methods, optimization techniques, and predictive modeling concepts.
- Proficient in programming languages including Python, Pyspark, and SQL, with experience in data analysis and machine learning libraries.
- Ability to apply various analytical models to real-world business scenarios.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to understand business partner needs and deliver effective solutions.
