Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including employee deductions and other liabilities.
  • Manage payroll information requests and questions from employees and management.
  • Collect and analyze information to resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Manage payroll records, including tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, and job title and department/division transfers.
  • Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments.
  • Draft relevant year-end reports, as well as weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for department heads.
Requirements
  • Less than one year of experience is acceptable.
  • Certified Payroll detail-oriented designation preferred.
  • Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why".
  • Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with high-volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
  • Solid understanding of Coding Invoices.
  • Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements.
  • Previous experience using accounting software.
  • Proficient knowledge of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen.
  • Mastery of internal controls.
  • Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data.
