Project Management Coordinator Job Description

As a Project Management Coordinator at Alberta Health Services, you will play a critical role in supporting the Senior Project Manager and/or Program Manager in the delivery and implementation of projects across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of project schedules, procurement documentation, and cash flow forecasts
  • Perform contract administration, project supervision, building and operational commissioning
  • Coordinate service shut-downs and inspections, and ensure contractors adhere to facility guidelines
  • Participate in value engineering exercises and contribute to achieving project goals

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of related commercial/institutional construction project management experience
  • Advanced or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in hospital or healthcare facility construction and/or healthcare facility management
  • Knowledge of Alberta Health Services internal policies and processes
  • Understanding of construction practices and processes
