About the Fire Sprinkler Fitter Position:
The Fire Sprinkler Fitter will be responsible for coordinating with the Labour Supervisor and Project Manager to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects. This includes ensuring all necessary resources are available and that the installation is of the highest quality, meeting customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the Labour Supervisor/Project Manager to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement quality and safety controls to maintain a safe work environment and deliver superior installation quality.
- Manage company-issued vehicles, equipment, and tools, ensuring they are properly maintained and protected.
- Submit accurate and timely timesheets to the Payroll Department.
- Attend pre-construction, coordination, and job progress meetings to ensure project understanding and communication.
- Coordinate material delivery and project start timing to meet project schedules.
- Participate in in-house meetings and training, contributing to process improvements.
- Develop and train field personnel in good installation procedures, promoting professionalism and safety practices.
- Provide technical support to company apprentices, technicians, designers, and shop employees.
- Respond to assigned duties and responsibilities from the Labour Supervisor and/or Project Manager.
- Submit written job progress reports as requested by the Labour Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience installing sprinkler/fire protection systems.
- Valid Driver's License.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or climb stairs and ladders for extended periods.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without assistance.
