Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment in a production environment. This includes operating haul trucks, loaders, and other equipment to move materials and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment to move, load, and unload materials
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work shift rotations, including days and nights
  • Be dependable and reliable, with a strong focus on safety and productivity
  • Comply with all road regulations and company policies
  • Identify and report any equipment damage or issues to the Team Leader

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • College or industry courses in heavy equipment operation an asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving abstract required
  • Valid CSO or BSO or combination of CSTS and OSSA required
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English required
  • LPS training an asset
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
