Key Responsibilities:
The Consultant is expected to demonstrate leadership in managing cross-functional teams focused on business transformation projects, ensuring alignment of business systems with evolving processes through effective application portfolio management. Candidates should possess extensive experience in business transformation methodologies, including operations research and business process re-engineering, to drive impactful project recommendations. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively engaging with senior executives and management regarding operational changes. The Consultant will provide daily operational support and administration for various technologies managed by the Unix Services team, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux, RHEL Cluster Services, and associated tools such as Ansible and Nagios. Responsibilities include monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving issues within the RHEL infrastructure as they occur. Adherence to the client's IMIT Change/Incident/Problem Management protocols is crucial while supporting operational clinical and business systems. The Consultant will assist in the deployment of new technologies, services, and necessary upgrades. Regular patching of server operating systems and hardware will be conducted in line with established patching schedules. Representing the team as a subject matter expert in meetings and consultations is expected. A bi-weekly progress report detailing completed work and hours logged will be submitted to the Client Contract Manager. Any issues, delays, or budget overruns that could affect project deliverables must be promptly communicated to the Client Contract Manager. At project completion, a comprehensive report summarizing work accomplished, outstanding issues, and lessons learned will be provided. Operational issues should be escalated to the relevant application owners.
