Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and service delivery align with established department standards, maintaining attractive meals at the correct temperature and portion size.
  • Utilize production sheets to guide food preparation and assist with cost management.
  • Understand the specific dietary needs of each client, including restrictions, allergies, and special requests.
  • Assist with the receiving and checking of deliveries and inventory management, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation of supplies.
  • Participate in incident reporting and investigation processes as necessary.
  • Report maintenance needs for areas and equipment to the appropriate department.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization to meet established standards.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who value continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • A food handlers' certificate (preferred)
  • A First Aid & CPR certificate
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong customer service skills and a passion for serving seniors
  • Experience in the culinary field, particularly in preparing meals for clients
  • Advanced proficiency in English; proficiency in additional languages is an asset
  • A commitment to the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors receive quality accommodations, services, and care
