We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health and Substance Use Clinician to join our team at the Penticton Health Centre on a relief basis. This temporary assignment will provide an opportunity for a qualified professional to work with our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health and substance use services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group counseling to individuals with moderate to severe substance use with or without mental health concerns.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including assessment, service coordination, and urgent response to complex clients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to clients.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, psychology, or counseling.
- Registration with a professional college or association, such as the British Columbia College of Social Workers or the College of Psychologists of British Columbia.
- Experience working with individuals with mental health and substance use issues, preferably in a clinical or counseling setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
