Reporting directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Cleaning Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the professional appearance and cleanliness of all areas within the Casino.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual with demonstrated expertise, skills, and competencies, executing the following responsibilities in alignment with the company's vision, mission, and values:
- Exceptional customer service skills are essential and must be exhibited consistently.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the Casino to ensure cleanliness, adequate supplies, and a debris-free environment.
- Perform floor care duties including vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and waxing as required or scheduled.
- Protect all confidential information and exercise caution to prevent unauthorized disclosure or use.
- Uphold safety standards to minimize slips, trips, and fall hazards.
- Ensure that all supplies are utilized appropriately.
- Verify that all housekeeping equipment is operational and report any issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor promptly.
- Foster positive public relations with guests and fellow employees.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in a commercial cleaning setting is preferred.
- Committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques, commercial cleaning agents, and WHMIS regulations.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capacity to maintain confidentiality.
- Self-driven and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in clear and effective communication in English.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Competence in performing tasks efficiently and safely within designated timeframes.
- Must successfully pass a criminal record and credit check as required by regulatory authorities.
