Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO)

The Financial Planning Advisor will oversee the financial strategy and analytical functions to enhance the organization's capacity to meet its strategic goals. This position is responsible for delivering precise and timely financial documentation, which includes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, in addition to specialized reports as required. The Financial Planning Advisor will spearhead initiatives in business strategy, expenditure decision support, financial assessment/analysis, operational evaluation/analysis, benchmarking, and the implementation of best practices.

The role involves developing, evaluating, and contributing to the establishment of robust financial planning principles, practices, and standards to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Continuous assessment and evaluation will be key to driving improvements aimed at enhancing the quality and effectiveness of financial processes, information systems, and models related to business planning, budgeting, reporting, and executive-level insights.

The minimum experience required for this position is 6-8 years, including the adjustment period necessary to achieve proficiency in the role.
