About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Repairer to join our team at Kia of Brockville. As a key member of our collision repair team, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate repair costs based on damage examination reports and communicate with customers to ensure their needs are met.
  • Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Plan and execute repair work, including estimating, ordering parts, and coordinating with other departments as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers are satisfied with the repair process and the final result.
  • Test drive vehicles to ensure they are safe and functioning properly.
  • Clean and maintain the work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Replace front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components as needed.
  • File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired, ensuring a smooth finish.
  • Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting, using high-quality materials and techniques.
  • Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers, requiring attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills, and bolt or weld replacement parts into place, ensuring a precise fit.
  • Apply primers and repaint surfaces, using high-quality paints and finishes.
  • Repair or replace interior components, including upholstery, carpets, and trim.
  • Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs, requiring attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Mix paint, blend, and match colors to ensure a perfect match.
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams, requiring attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment, requiring physical strength and endurance.
Requirements
  • Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Trade Certification.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the automotive repair industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
