Electronics Assembly Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to construct electronic assemblies accurately.
  • Suggest improvements or replacements for electronic devices and carry out repairs or component replacements as necessary.
  • Calibrate and maintain tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct circuit testing and troubleshooting as required.
  • Apply knowledge of current electrical codes and standards to all tasks.
  • Uphold product quality standards throughout the assembly process.
  • Adhere to safety protocols as outlined by Johnson Controls and relevant occupational health regulations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Completion of a diploma or degree in a technical field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of both power and hand tools.
  • Familiarity with RF, high voltage, analog, and digital systems.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of transformers, relays, magnetic contactors, and motor protection devices is advantageous.
  • Understanding of PLC systems is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Work is conducted in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Manual dexterity is essential for tool operation.
  • Caution is necessary due to potential hazards in the work environment.
  • Compliance with safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment, is mandatory.
  • The role may require prolonged periods of standing.
  • Overtime may be necessary based on workload.

Communication

  • Interaction is primarily with team members and the Electrical Assembly Supervisor or Manager.
