As a Lead Solutions Architect for Cloud Services with a focus on AWS, you will engage with clients, collaborate with CDW Sales, and work alongside various teams at AWS and CDW to design cloud architectures that address business needs and enhance the adoption of CDW services within the AWS framework. Your role will be crucial in driving revenue growth across a diverse clientele while acting as a trusted advisor to guide organizations in best practices for advanced cloud solutions.
You will play a key role in developing and executing strategies to boost awareness and utilization of CDW and AWS offerings. This position is vital for advancing our cloud initiatives, crafting comprehensive cloud solutions, and establishing thought leadership within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical expertise, outstanding leadership qualities, and a commitment to the advancement of cloud technology.
Key Responsibilities- Cultivate strong relationships with clients to become a trusted advisor for their critical workloads, supporting their digital transformation and cloud journey.
- Surpass revenue targets by implementing strategies in partnership with the sales team that promote the adoption and migration of applications, software, and services in AWS utilizing CDW Canada services.
- Advocate for the development of services and solutions for our AWS business, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals and market demands.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in cloud technology and AWS, sharing insights to guide strategy and solution development.
- Mentor and assist junior solutions architects, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Design customer solutions using the most effective combination of vendor-partner solutions, leveraging a deep understanding of cloud best practices within CDW Canada's partner ecosystem.
- Represent CDW Canada's technical solutions within the AWS landscape, nurturing and maintaining strong relationships with AWS technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to the governance structure of the AWS practice, participating in regular business reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct in-depth training sessions to share knowledge with customers considering or currently using cloud services.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members on cloud architecture, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Extensive technical experience with enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, database migrations, and technology management.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn new technologies and understand relevant trends.
- Familiarity with competitive cloud ecosystems is preferred.
- Understanding of partner ecosystems and the capability to leverage partner solutions to meet customer needs is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience mentoring team members.
- Proven ability to build strong technical relationships with senior IT executives in large or strategically important accounts.
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships to achieve consensus on solutions/projects.
- Recognized for driving collaborative decisions, resolving conflicts, and ensuring follow-through with exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to lead and influence virtual teams, ensuring successful implementation of customer projects.
- Strong presentation skills with comfort in addressing both large and small audiences.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
