Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our Building Structural Group, you will be responsible for structural design and construction administration works on major industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate structural design and construction with other disciplines.
  • Work closely with clients and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet expectations.
  • Carry out structural modeling, analysis, and design, preparing and reviewing structural reports and drawings.
  • Collaborate with BIM staff to prepare drawings and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Review construction submittals, constructability, and staging drawings, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate engineering and commercial items with the construction team.
  • Conduct site visits to review work for general compliance to structural drawings and contract documents, identifying potential construction structural deficiencies and providing remedial options.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on industrial projects.
  • Fluency in French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience with complete design of projects, including analysis, design, detailing, and construction administration for complex industrial projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, including NBCC, Quebec Construction Code, and CSA standards.
  • Proficient in structural analysis software, including SAP, ETABS, SAFE, RAM-Structural, S-Concrete, Microsoft Office Suite, and Acrobat/Bluebeam.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites for site reviews.
