About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Suntree Daycare & OSC Centre. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Implementation
    • Develop and implement engaging programs that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in children.
    • Plan and lead activities that foster creativity, imagination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Child Development and Support
    • Observe and assess children's learning and development, identifying areas of strength and need.
    • Develop and implement strategies to support children's learning and development, including individualized plans and accommodations.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
    • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and research.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children in a daycare or early childhood education setting.
  • Skills and Qualities
    • Strong knowledge of child development theory and best practices in early childhood education.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
