We are seeking a dedicated Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our esteemed team, where you will experience the fulfillment of working in a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional mental health care. This position allows for a diverse practice within a supportive community, offering a variety of lifestyle options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide community-based mental health services for children and adolescents in partnership with the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
  • Deliver inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services tailored to the needs of young patients.
  • Engage in developmental and mental health assessments and interventions.
  • Offer private psychiatric services for children and adolescents within the community.
  • Support the adult inpatient unit while fulfilling on-call responsibilities.

Our commitment is to ensure high-quality psychiatric care for residents across the region. You will collaborate with family physicians, pediatricians, and mental health services for children and youth. There are also discussions regarding the establishment of a specialized Child & Adolescent Psychiatry inpatient unit, where your insights and contributions will be valued.

Professional Development:

This role provides opportunities for teaching local UBC students and residents in Family Medicine and Psychiatry. Additionally, there are pathways for those interested in pursuing leadership roles or developing subspecialty interests, including addictions.
