Capital & Maintenance Program Analyst

Location: Toronto, ON, CA

The Capital and Maintenance Program Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of Toronto Hydro's Capital and Maintenance initiatives. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities including the development and upkeep of high-level schedules, comprehensive data collection, and in-depth analysis to identify trends and gaps. The analyst will also be tasked with generating reports pertinent to the Capital and Maintenance Work Programs, while establishing processes and tools that promote governance and compliance within the execution of these programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Constructs and sustains construction and design timelines to support effective Program Management.
  • Conducts analyses to identify gaps and trends across multiple programs and portfolios.
  • Generates reports that detail the status and outcomes of program delivery.
  • Investigates gaps and trends, performing root cause analyses and proposing actionable solutions.
  • Collects data, conducts thorough analyses, and ensures the accuracy of reporting.
  • Leads initiatives aimed at improving processes and tools, including process mapping for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the successful execution of programs.
  • Recognizes opportunities for workflow automation through available tools and systems.
  • Enhances analytics and decision-making support using visualization software.
  • Develops and maintains reporting applications, forms, and tailored databases.
  • Conducts periodic reviews and analyses of operational data to ensure quality assurance.
  • Engages in corporate-wide initiatives that align with the overall business strategy.
  • Assists in the preparation of regulatory rate applications, including narrative development and response support.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Technology, Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Three to five years of experience in schedule development, data analysis, gap analysis, report generation, workflow automation, and business process design.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel, Project, Access, and Word.
  • Experience with Tableau and Alteryx is advantageous.
  • Three or more years of experience in business process redesign and analysis.
  • Additional certifications such as CBAP, Six Sigma, or Data Science are considered beneficial.
  • Familiarity with project/program management principles; PMP designation is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to develop business solutions in a dynamic environment.
  • Capability to identify at-risk business areas through data analysis and KPI evaluation.
  • Ability to create statistical tracking methods for performance measurement.
  • Experience in process mapping and documentation.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen.

This position allows for a hybrid work arrangement, permitting remote work based on business needs. Employees are expected to reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
