Position Overview

Romko Residences LTD is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Personal Support Worker in our nursing care division. This position is essential in providing compassionate support to our patients and ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a relevant trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Assist with meal service and provide feeding support to patients as needed.
  • Facilitate communication by delivering messages, reports, and specimens between departments.
  • Oversee and guide patients in their exercise routines.
  • Administer necessary medical procedures such as suppositories and enemas.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of medical supplies.
  • Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, and grooming of patients.
  • Transport patients safely between various care facilities.
  • Respond to patient call signals to address their needs promptly.
  • Prepare patients for surgical procedures by ensuring cleanliness and readiness of operative areas.
  • Provide first aid assistance in emergency situations.
