About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Canvas Construction Group. As a key member of our crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload construction materials, equipment, and supplies from vehicles and storage areas.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up scaffolding and other equipment.
  • Material Handling: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and assist in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, and other structures.
  • Support Services: Provide support to medical examiners, assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, and perform routine maintenance work.
  • Site Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by cleaning up chemical spills, removing rubble and debris, and directing traffic at or near construction sites.
  • Equipment Operation: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, and assist in demolishing buildings.
Work Environment

As a Construction Laborer with Canvas Construction Group, you will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. You will be required to lift heavy loads, work at heights, and be exposed to various weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Team Player: Be a team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: Work 32 to 44 hours per week.
