Senior Estimator - Heavy Civil Projects

We are seeking a Senior Estimator to generate precise estimates for a diverse array of complex heavy civil infrastructure tenders. This role entails overseeing all facets of construction management from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine project plans and specifications to ascertain the scope of work and define requirements.
- Formulate comprehensive estimates for tender submissions across various heavy civil construction projects.
- Foster and sustain robust, long-term relationships with clients.
Duties:
- Assess project needs and devise a strategy for developing accurate estimates.
- Review the scope of work, identify subcontractor packages, and obtain subcontractor bids for inclusion in the estimate.
- Prepare detailed estimates using Hard Dollar, incorporating all self-performed items such as labor, equipment, and materials.
- Conduct risk analysis for estimates and present project execution plans during bid review meetings with management.
- Collaborate on major project pursuits in joint ventures with partner firms.
- Manage client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication.
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience in pre-qualifications, estimates, and contract negotiations for heavy civil construction projects.
- Minimum of 7 years managing all aspects of heavy civil construction from project initiation to closeout.
- P.Eng, EIT, technical diploma, or substantial industry experience is required.
- Proven ability to handle customer development, issues, and inquiries while delivering exceptional service.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Projects; experience with Hard Dollar is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Strong work ethic and capability to thrive in a fast-paced, confidential environment with tight deadlines.
- Valid Driver's License.
The typical salary range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000 annually, with variations based on experience and qualifications.
