Risk Advisory Services Manager

BDO is seeking an experienced Manager to join our Risk Advisory Services (RAS) practice in Montreal and Quebec. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing the practice, assisting with business development, mandate delivery, and overall practice development.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Quebec-based RAS practice, ensuring seamless delivery of services to clients.
- Act as a coach and mentor to team members, helping them maximize their potential and develop their skills.
- Assist with defining resourcing needs and participate in hiring team resources.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the RAS Quebec strategy.
- Develop business opportunities and contribute to business development and sales initiatives.
- Establish strong relationships with clients at all levels of experience, including leadership.
- Take a leadership and collaborative role in maintaining a working atmosphere that promotes learning, participates in group events, and assists in building the team culture/environment.
- Manage teams in executing on various risk management, internal audit, and other RAS engagements.
- Manage engagements working closely with RAS team members, ensuring quality mandate delivery to clients – on budget, on time, and with quality.
- Assist with the development of methodologies, tools, and templates.
- 7 years or more of professional experience in a similar function within a professional services environment.
- CPA or CIA certification.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate security concepts to different audiences.
- Build positive working relationships with clients and identify improvements for future engagements.
- Demonstrate managerial skills in working with high-performing teams.
- Bilingual in French and English is considered a must.
