As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will possess a comprehensive understanding of various architectural domains (business, information, application, data, technology, etc.) and will collaborate with IT and business teams within StandardAero to convert business strategies and changes into technical implementations.

As a vital member of the Enterprise Architecture & Software Development Team, you will play a key role in architecting and guiding the development and support of comprehensive IT solutions and services. This is an opportunity to join us during a transformative phase of digital evolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document the current IT architecture and oversee the existing solution portfolio to identify critical deficiencies, legacy systems, and technical debt, while recommending solutions for ongoing enhancement. Assist IT decision-makers in determining the end-of-life for applications and technologies. Provide guidance on the enterprise architecture landscape, encompassing data, technology, infrastructure, security, and integration.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural framework to meet business objectives. Generate target-state architecture, conduct continuous assessments and gap analyses, and collaborate with the IT leadership team and architect community to advance the organization toward the target architecture.
  • Develop a strategic roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise IT solutions portfolio from current to future state, facilitating business growth, ensuring compliance, and simplifying key business and IT processes.
  • Establish and uphold architectural principles, guidelines, standards, and blueprints to support architectural governance, assessing the impact of new and ongoing technology investments on the business and IT landscape. Ensure that solution decisions align with the enterprise's vision for future-state architecture.
  • Act as a consultant on a wide array of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes, facilitating evaluation and selection processes.
  • Provide consulting support to project teams to ensure alignment of projects or end-products with the overall enterprise architecture.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of IT experience across delivery, consulting, and architecture, with a minimum of 5 years in Enterprise Architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience in various technology leadership roles, including IT strategy development, enterprise and solution architecture, and orchestrating large-scale business and technology transformations.
  • Proven ability to define IT architectures within large and complex environments, delivering strategic outcomes.
  • Experience with TOGAF (or other enterprise architecture methodologies) and/or ITIL methodologies.
  • Familiarity with diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments (knowledge of various backend and frontend development languages, database technologies, and aspects of technology architecture such as integration, network, and security).
  • Strong understanding of DevOps and Agile delivery practices.
  • Possession of one or more Public Cloud Provider certifications: AWS Professional Certified, Azure Expert Certified, or Google Cloud Professional Certified.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with, mentor, and develop others.
