Job Summary

Ask Transportation Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution

Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, utilizing computer equipment, GPS systems, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Customer Service

Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring professionalism and a positive experience for clients and colleagues alike.

Vehicle Maintenance

Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Documentation and Record-Keeping

Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.

Communication and Teamwork

Effectively communicate with central dispatch, relay information, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements
  • Driver's License

A valid Class 1 or A driver's license is required.

Experience and Certifications

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field, or equivalent experience and certifications.

Language and Communication

Proficiency in English is required, with excellent oral communication skills.

Physical Demands

Ability to handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and maintain attention to detail.
