Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Ask Transportation Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution
    • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
    • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection
    • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
    • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Logistics and Communication
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
    • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Safety and Security
    • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
    • Basic security clearance and driver's validity license check.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Judgment and reliability.
    • Team player and hardworking individual.
