Job Summary

HRD Tank Lines LTD. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Long Haul to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, utilizing computer equipment, GPS, and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Mountain Driving Expertise: Possess expertise in driving in mountainous terrain, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Customer Service: Provide professional and courteous service to customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods, adhering to company procedures and regulations.
  • Obtain Special Permits: Obtain necessary permits and documents to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of the vehicle.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, adhering to company protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement: Possess a valid Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence: Hold a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence for semi-trailer trucks.
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Possess a valid driver's licence.
  • Willingness to Travel: Be willing to travel cross-border and adapt to changing circumstances.
