About the Role

Razir Transport Services Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team for a Long Haul position. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Goods: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across the country.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
Requirements
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence: Possess a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks) and a Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Documentation Knowledge: Familiarity with accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection report, trans-border documentation, and trip reports.
  • Transportation/Travel Experience: Long-haul and national transportation experience.
  • Security and Safety: Possess a valid criminal record check, driver's validity licence check, driving record check (abstract), and have passed a drug test.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, organized, reliable, team player, and hardworking.
