The Burlington Performing Arts Centre is a vibrant cultural hub in the heart of downtown Burlington, Ontario. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead our team and drive the success of our organization.
About the RoleThe Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the overall strategy and direction of the Centre, including programming, marketing, fundraising, and community engagement. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of the performing arts industry, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the Centre's strategic plan, including programming, marketing, and fundraising initiatives
- Lead a team of staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality programming and events
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, artists, and stakeholders
- Manage the Centre's budget and finances, including grant writing and fundraising
- Oversee the Centre's marketing and communications efforts, including social media and public relations
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in the performing arts industry. The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior leadership role in the performing arts industry
- A university degree in arts and/or business management, or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Experience with budgeting and financial management, including grant writing and fundraising
