About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Elder Tree Montessori. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring high-quality and presentation standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen operations, including cleaning and maintaining kitchen and work areas, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service to our students and staff.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and achieve our culinary goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a kitchen environment
  • Language: English language proficiency
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week
