Join Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a Quality Improvement Specialist in Medical Leadership and Practice
VCH is on the lookout for a committed professional to become part of the Regional Quality Improvement team as a Quality Improvement Specialist. This position entails working closely with healthcare professionals and project teams to elevate quality enhancement initiatives and foster leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will significantly contribute to the design and execution of educational strategies that support the PQI & Spread QI initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing educational needs and formulating strategies for quality improvement and change management.
- Creating and implementing quality improvement educational programs tailored for medical leadership.
- Developing a range of learning formats including instructor-led, eLearning, and blended courses.
- Applying best practices in instructional design methodologies.
- Coordinating quality education events in partnership with stakeholders.
- Evaluating and enhancing educational programs and services.
- Providing support to quality improvement teams throughout project lifecycles.
- Leveraging data for quality improvement initiatives and facilitating training sessions.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Three to five years of experience in adult education, quality enhancement, and evaluation.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent certifications.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven expertise in quality improvement and change management methodologies.
- Capability to assess, design, and evaluate educational curriculum and strategies.
- Experience with principles of adult education and instructional design.
- Excellent communication and networking abilities.
- Awareness of diversity and inclusion principles in educational practices.
