Job Overview
As a Software Verification and Validation Test Engineer, you will play a vital role within the verification and validation team. Your collaboration with product development teams will be essential to ensure high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop, analyze, and execute test scripts and cases in accordance with ASPICE and ISO 26262 standards.
  2. Utilize various software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, white box, and black box testing.
  3. Document software testing results and report any identified issues promptly.
  4. Conduct Qualification Tests and regression testing on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setups.
  5. Update models and prepare necessary documentation for test bench configurations.
  6. Engage in team reviews to ensure quality and accuracy of work produced.
  7. Ensure test cases are aligned with the requirements outlined in the current release plan.
  8. Support cross-functional teams in development, system engineering, and root cause analysis.
  9. Instrument and test applications effectively.
  10. Document any changes to the test environment configurations.
  11. Communicate any schedule changes to all relevant stakeholders.
  12. Maintain a comprehensive test log, documenting significant information such as bench issues and hardware concerns.

Educational Background

  1. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics and Telecommunications, Instrumentation & Controls, or a related field.

Experience Requirements

  1. 6-8 years of relevant experience in Mechatronics software testing.
  2. Experience in the automotive sector is preferred, particularly in electric vehicle technologies.

Nature of Experience

  1. Experience in OEM automotive, automotive ancillary (tier 1), aviation, aerospace, rail, and transportation sectors.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  1. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including Software Qualification and Hardware-in-the-Loop testing.
  2. Proven experience in developing automated test cases for software qualification on HIL setups.
  3. Familiarity with dSPACE tools (Control Desk, Automation Desk, Configuration Desk, Test Authoring Framework) or similar HIL automation tools.
  4. Proficient in Python scripting.
  5. Experience with automotive communication tools such as Vector CANape, CANoe, CAPL, and CANalyzer.
  6. Knowledge of ASPICE/ISO 26262 standards and functional safety testing up to ASIL D.
  7. Familiarity with calibration tools from Vector, ETAS, or ATI Vision is advantageous.
  8. Understanding of automotive communication bus systems and protocols (e.g., CAN, CCP, XCP, UDS, J1939).
  9. Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for plant model development is preferred.
  10. Familiarity with NI tools (LabView, TestStand, VeriStand) is a plus.
  11. Experience with ALM tools such as Polarion, Doors, or PTC Integrity.
  12. A strong testing mindset coupled with excellent logical reasoning skills.
