About the Role

Airstream Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our team. As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs for various mechanical projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for mechanical projects
  • Develop and submit pre-qualification submissions to present to clients
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
  • Advise on tendering procedures and analyze tenders to recommend awards
  • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and monitor contract expenditures
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in mechanical construction or a related field
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
