Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at Paradise Construction. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing roofs on various types of buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
  • Install sheet metal flashings and estimate costs and materials for roofing projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the roofing industry.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Reliability and dependability in meeting deadlines and working independently.
Working Conditions

As a Roofing Specialist, you will work on various construction sites, often at heights, and in different weather conditions. You must be physically fit and able to lift heavy materials.
