As a key member of our finance team, the Senior Manager of Program Finance will report directly to the Senior Director of Finance. This role is pivotal in collaborating with Line of Business (LOB) leadership to oversee financial reporting, management, and program analysis for the LOB portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Generate forecasts for sales, bookings, profits, program investments, and cash flow based on ongoing contracts and emerging business opportunities.
- Oversee Program Finance operations, including forecasting, risk management, cash flow management, budget preparation, variance analysis, Estimation at Completion (EAC), Basis of Estimate preparation, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), contractual reporting, return on investment, audit preparation, and program review.
- Manage both internal and external financial reporting, analyze results, and assess their impact on programs and LOB.
- Ensure alignment of activities and forecasting, monitor cost-reduction initiatives across programs and LOB.
- Assist in proposal preparations for LOB programs, including Bid-No Bid assessments, cost estimation, pricing strategies, Request for Proposal evaluations, risk mitigation, and negotiation.
- Support negotiations with government entities, industry prime contractors, and international clients.
- Establish and maintain effective business relationships, serving as the primary contact for internal, government, and commercial clients.
- Ensure the integrity of financial analysis, adherence to policies, and that all costs and reasonable fees are accounted for.
- Guarantee compliance with GAAP, CAS, IFRS, SOX, and corporate policies regarding revenue recognition across all contracts.
- Drive continuous improvement in Program Finance processes while ensuring compliance and tailoring processes to meet program and contractual needs.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Program Finance team members, managing performance and encouraging professional development.
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new Program Finance personnel.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A Master's degree is a valuable asset.
- At least ten (10) years of experience in program finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and comprehensive knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards, Sarbanes-Oxley, and International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Proficient in advanced financial analysis principles and possess strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and management abilities, particularly in influence management and conflict resolution.
- Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, negotiation, interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written), and presentation skills are essential.
